Texas School 2010

I had the wonderful chance to attend the Texas School of Photography thanks to a scholarship from my local photography guild. I know, I am a lucky girl!  If you aren’t a member of a local photography guild and you are or want to be a professional photographer,  I can’t stress enough how beneficial it will be to your career.  These people really help and become a backbone to your career.  I can’t think of any other place you can go once a month and learn about photography for only $50 a year.  Plus if your in a pinch, you got people.

Texas School was in Dallas this year and well it totally rocked!  Don Dixon and his crew really work hard to bring us the works all served on a silver platter with a cherry on top!  My instructor this year was Greg Daniels and his wife Lisa. What a awesome team they are.  They showed us lots of little ways to tweak our work to make it even more amazing and how to wait for those “spaghetti moments” where the magic happens. (see Lady and the Tramp)

Here are some of my favorite photos from the class and the shoot out and a couple behind the scenes pictures, just cause I think they are fun to see.
